TPO Roof Installation & Repair in Atlanta, Georgia
TPO is the most common single-ply roof on new low-slope commercial buildings, and for good reason: it’s light, reflective, and its seams are welded with hot air into a continuous sheet. We install, replace and repair TPO systems on schools, restaurants, offices and institutional buildings across Georgia.

What is TPO?
TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is a single-ply membrane, usually white, rolled out over insulation and either mechanically fastened or fully adhered to the deck. Seams are heat-welded rather than glued, so they become as strong as the membrane itself. Common thicknesses are 45, 60 and 80 mil; we typically specify 60 mil or heavier for long service life.
Our recent TPO work includes 60 mil systems over R-30 insulation for a new Georgia Southern University baseball facility and for Portillo’s in Kennesaw.
A good fit for
- New construction and full replacements
- Restaurants, retail and offices
- Schools and institutional buildings
- Buildings that need a reflective roof
Why TPO
Advantages of tpo roofing
Reflective and energy-efficient
A white membrane reflects summer sun, helping keep rooftop units and the spaces below cooler in Georgia heat.
Welded seams
Hot-air welded seams are less likely to fail than taped or glued seams, which is where most low-slope leaks start.
Attachment options
Mechanically attached or fully adhered, chosen to suit the deck, wind exposure and building use.
Warranty eligible
As a GAF GoldElite™ Commercial Contractor, we can offer GAF Diamond Pledge™ NDL roof guarantees on qualifying systems.

TPO Roofing questions
How long does a TPO roof last?
Typically 15 to 25 years, depending on membrane thickness, installation quality and maintenance. Thicker membranes and regular inspections extend service life.
Can TPO go over my existing roof?
Sometimes. A recover is possible when the existing roof and insulation are dry and building code allows another layer. If there’s trapped moisture or the roof already has multiple layers, a tear-off is the right call. We’ll check before recommending either.
Mechanically attached or fully adhered?
Mechanically attached systems are fastened through the insulation into the deck and are usually more economical. Fully adhered systems are glued down, resist wind flutter and suit some decks better. We recommend based on your deck type, wind exposure and warranty requirements.
Can a TPO roof be repaired?
Yes. Punctures and failed seams can usually be cleaned and heat-welded with a new patch, as long as the membrane hasn’t aged past the point of welding.
